Missing Employees

This section will give advice regarding employees who fail to turn up for work with no apparent explanation or attempt to contact their employer.  Employers should have in place a procedure to contact the missing employee and if there is still no response then initiate disciplinary action and further action.  Occasionally, after time, employers may have a case for dismissal but the new Dispute Resolution Regulations place a greater responsibility upon employers to ensure that the employee is fully involved in the termination process.
