Rights of Members and Non-Members
Employees and prospective employees are protected against being penalised because they are, or are not, members of a trade union.
Closed shop practices or arrangements are no longer enforceable.
Individuals also have the right not to be excluded or expelled from a trade union.
From April 2010 it will be illegal to refuse employment or dismiss anyone who appears on a so-called 'Trade Union blacklist' (for that reason)
