Introduction to Leaving Employment

Most movement of employees out of the organisation are straightforward with employees simply choosing  to move elsewhere.

However, difficulties can arise with resignations - "did they mean it"; "have we caused him to leave"  (and possibly constructively dismissed the employee).
Recent Age Discrimination law has created some hoops that employers must jump through in order to prevent a retirement becoming an unfair dismissal.
And what about the employee who has simply disappeared. Is he no longer an employee?  Has he dismissed himself?

Hopefully, answers to such questions and others will be found in this section.
